Getting back in the swing
I've been bad about posting any entries here or in any of my journals. I need to get back in the swing of things. I find writing is very cathargic for me and should do it more often.

I started my morning walks again this morning - 1 day down, and only 364 more for the year to go! My legs feel a little like jelly right now, but it felt good and was a beautiful sunrise!
I am trying to bring my daily rituals in line with my goals so that I will tend to stick to them a bit more. A big goal is to lose weight and get into shape - I'm actually the heaviest I've ever been in my life right now and the lack of energy is really getting to me! Time to get myself in shape!
One of my biggest goals of course is a closer relationship with Isis and learning more about magick and my own spirituality. My morning walks not only help with my weight, but also with allowing me time by myself in nature to think and meditate. This makes it a bit more likely I'll keep up the walks! Rainy days will be the biggest problem and I'm planning to use my Tai Chi tape on those mornings when I can't walk.
We'll see if I can keep it up!

I discovered a very nice website the British Museum does called Ancient Egypt
. It includes lots of photos and information. It seems to be designed more for younger readers, but it still is pretty interesting for all of us :)
Another interesting site is Discovering Egypt
for someone that sells software and posters though the site is very nicely done for those who don't want to buy anything!

Beginning studies at Pagancollege.com
I've just started taking the Priestess of Isis course at Pagancollege.com and as part of the requirement is to keep a journal, this Blog will also become that journal for the class.
The course uses 2 books I've had and have been using for a while - The Mysteries of Isis by DeTraci Regula and Isis Magic by M. Isidora Forrest. Both are truly excellent books that I've read probably twice each. The nice thing about the course though is that it requires doing some of the exercises in the books that I haven't tried yet. So this will sort of make me do them :)
I've also been a little lax on my daily rituals lately, so again, this will give me a good reason to restart and keep it up.

Been working on rituals and rededication
Been working on a number of rituals and started doing an adapation of Presentation of Offerings and Reversal of Offerings with my breakfast. I find morning rituals really give me a peaceful relaxed start to my day and seems to be the time I am most likely to follow thru :)
I'm also working on planning my Ostara ritual with an Egyptian flare :) Haven't quite worked it out yet, but getting a lot closer.
The other major thing I'm working on is a rededication ritual. On January 1, I did a dedication to Isis ritual for 3 months. That ends this month and I've definitely decided to extend it. I truly feel Isis is the Goddess I should dedicate too. I feel a very strong affinity with her. I've decided to extend my votary period the traditional "year and day" which will take it thru January 2. I'll probably do a variation of the original dedication I did.

Been so busy I haven't posted in a while. My online store
has been getting a lot of traffic and orders, so it's an exciting and busy time :) Between it and my clothing site
I might just make a living from the web yet! :)
I have been doing my daily rituals almost every day - there have been a few I've missed - trying to correct that. I feel so much better when I do my rituals - haven't done my full rituals for way too long in fact. Planning to correct that this weekend and try to get back to a full ritual every weekend.
I got in some lovely Lotus and Frankincense incense the other day - its some that I sell on MC but hadn't tried myself. It's amazing the difference in brands even of the same scent! As I've been getting in orders lately, I've been trying out a few new things for myself. I don't feel right about selling things I don't have a first hand knowledge of so always try to see and/or use as many of the items my distributors have as possible. Also got in 2 wonderful bath salts - a lavender and a muscle soother. The second is especially nice - a wonderful eucaylptus/sage scent.
I'm working on adapting some of my existing Book of Shadows into a more Isian theme - espcially in changing my seasonal rituals to Eyptian-based. It's going to be a slow process - but it's very interesting as well.
